craig ashhurst – senior consultant

PhD (current), BA, Grad Dip Ed., Cert IV TAA

Craig has a comprehensive mix of skills and experience with particular expertise in instructional design, multimedia and learning over 20 years. He has been involved in training since 1980 and organisational change since the late 1990s. Craig’s learning design experience is significant, with a wide range of clients and projects including: Attorney General’s Department, BHP Billiton Indonesia and Fairfax on maturing organisational systems. Craig also has experience in National TV as a journalist and reporter.


Craig’s consultancy work has included a variety of projects with a focus on identifying and developing learning systems in large organisations. He is currently a PhD candidate specialising his research on Wicked Problems.


Craig’s career includes experience as a teacher, youth worker, counsellor and consultant to institutions from schools, universities and government. These experiences have led to an extensive skill set in executive coaching which he deliveres to senior people in Government and commercial organisations. Craig is an exceptional facilitator and has particular skills in helping groups think strategically.


Craig has been instrumental in a number of National projects as a facilitator, designer and translator between different disciplines. All these roles have provided him with a wide experience of many different groups and an insight into organisational culture, how people think, learn and manage risk.
